New Jersey Science Requirements for Graduation:
Students entering high school prior to the 2001 school year will meet graduation requirements by successfully completng two of the courses listed below. 9th grade students entering high school druing and after the 2001 school year will complete three courses and pass the science protion of the HSPA to graduate.
 The traditional path of course work for science students is a progression from Earth Science to Biology through Chemistry and, if the student chooses, Physics in the senior year. The number of credits per course is determined by the number of hours a course is scheduled and can vary from five to seven credits.
