The class of 1984 graduated peolple that would later become successful mothers, fathers, athletes, college bound folk, leaders, musicians, entertainers, educators, bankers, physicians, attorneys, etc. We prided ourself on being a family. I remember being able to sit on any part of the ledge and feeling comfortable. There was a sense of pride, a feeling of family. It would be almost 4 in the afternoon and folks would still be lingering around the building.

Lunchtime was full of decisions, which truck, whose house, the cafeteria, the huge water fountains, the ledge?????

I am sorry about the current turmoil surrounding my beloved "HIGH"...I wanted my son to attend but made a very difficult decision and sent him elsewhere. But there was no place on this earth that I would have wanted to receive my high school experience from other than the Castle on the Hill...Ms. Riletta, Daaliya, Ms. Jackson, The Hills, all the faculty, Mr. Johnson, the athletic teams, activities, my friends...who are still my friends, I miss those days...I believe that if there was a format for what high school life should be...my 4 years at the high were the perfect example. You Want the High? You Got the High!

The Purple and the Gold...
